Abused by Politicians

Dear Canadian Politicians, mainly the Liberal, NDP and Bloc Quebecois parties,

This coalition government that you are trying to force upon the Canadian people is just one more way that politicians abuse the very people they are elected to represent. I am sickened and angry that they would disregard the wishes of the Canadian people in such a blatant and abusive manner.
There was an election held in October, really it was about 10 weeks ago and now that they are unhappy with the results of that election they, the Liberal, NDP and Bloc parties, have decided to abuse this law allowing ‘coalition governing’ and force it down the Canadian peoples throats if we want it or not.

Now I did not vote Conservative this past election, so typically a move to put in a Liberal minded government in charge of Canada should make me ecstatic right now, but that isn’t so. The election was the voice of the people, and the people chose the Conservative party. Now these three parties have decided that if they can’t get in through election then they’ll steal the power any way they can, and if it means twisting the rules and using them in a way they were not intended, well so be it. Who cares what the people that they are supposed to be representing want, what seems to be important here is that if you can’t get in one way then you’ll back door your way in anyway you can.

This is a childish and spoiled maneuver and what really sends chills down my spines is that you big babies are the leaders of our country, you are supposed to lead by example and it seems that it’s no wonder to me that the country is full of selfish, spoiled little individuals who look out for themselves and the rest of the world be hanged.

I think it’s time for the politicians of Canada stop for a moment and reflect on the words of another politician ” The problem of power is how to achieve its responsible use rather than its irresponsible and indulgent use- of how to get men of power to live for the public rather than off the public” ~ Robert F Kennedy

I think that the politicians do not represent the majority of Canadians, but rather themselves, their friends and the corporations that pad their pockets behind the Canadian Peoples backs. This Coalition Government is just the latest in the abuse of the Canadian People at the hands of the politicians. And we Canadians are being abused, we’ve been lied to or mislead by these people, we’ve had our power stripped away and we’ve been made to feel weak and powerless, this is our Christmas present from these politicians who no longer represent the people of Canada.

It feels to me very much to me that we’ve had a political coup and I supposed that would make this coalition a dictatorship of a sort, since one of the definitions of a dictatorship is ‘absolute, imperious or overbearing power or control’ and that’s how this feels. It feels like this coalition has an overbearing power or control and that no matter what the Canadian people say or do we’re powerless to take back the control or choices that we made back in October.

I have been disillusioned with the whole political machine for as long as I’ve had the power to vote and I have always said that it doesn’t matter what party you vote for because they are all a bunch of liars and back stabbers and all they care about is what is best for them, not Canada and this latest maneuver has just proven my point. I am heartbroken and frustrated with your decision.

Congratulations on your Abuse of the Canadian people, and your blatant disregarding of the choices that they have made. It seems that you feel that the Canadian people are too stupid to know what they want and thank goodness you are here to save us from ourselves.

    >Wow, I have never heard a Canadian complain or talk politics. This is a first for me. I thought we were the only ones with that problem.
