Things a New Pup Can Teach You

The thing about having a new puppy is that the little devil can locate hidden treasuretrash wherever the children have hidden it instead of putting it away or throwing it out.

I knew that my house was messy, but today I’ve discovered all the hiding spots that the kids have been stuffing stuff instead of putting it away because Mal has been dragging it all out and leaving it at my feet.  I won’t even go into all the stuff he’s brought to me, because there is just to much.  A few things he’s discovered, just so you get an idea, are dryer sheets, socks, LB’s toys that I’ve spent the past few weeks looking for, and even a few pieces of trash (candy wrappers, empty bags of chips, etc.).  My children are in so much trouble when they get home from school.
The thing I’m really happy about though, is that the dog can’t climb up the stairs yet, so that means that the hellish mess that are the kids bedrooms are safe for now.  But that’s just temporary, they need to clean them up really good before the little chew machine figures out how to climb the stairs, which should be soon.  He stood at the bottom today, crying at Skye who was just standing on them, staring at him and thanking her lucky stars that he can’t reach her, and so gets a break from his non-stop harassment of her.
