School Work Lacking

It’s getting close to a month since I quit my job, and I have to say that things are not going well.

My oldest son’s school called today to tell me that he’s flunking out due to lack of school work (ha, like that’s a shocker. He’s done this trick for the past 3 years, why should this one be any different). The Hubby and I discovered that he’d been slacking off on a project that was due on Wednesday, we found this out Tuesday night. He tried to tell us that the simple little two pages that he’d typed up in 14 point type, double spaced I might add and not double sided either, was going to be perfectly acceptable because he had printed some images off the computer and glued them to a bristol board.
Hubby and I went to town trying to tell him that this is high school and that shit might have flown in grade school, but that’s not what teachers want at this level. He actually argued with us, he kept telling us that the other kids in his class are doing the same thing.
Well today I get a call from one of the vice-principals, telling me that my son has not handed in his essay, yup you read that right, his essay. Ha, I knew it wasn’t any stupid bristol board crappy project. Greek Mythology: Hades. There is so much information that he could have collected and put into an essay on the Greek god of the Dead (not to be confused with the Greek God of Death, Thanatos.
