I watched the movie ‘The Good, The Bad and the Ugly‘ with the daughter last night and she just about made my brain explose.
“Is that the guy that’s ugly? Is he the guy that’s good?” “Mom, is that the guy that’s supposed to be ‘The Ugly’ because he sure looks ugly. He has to be the ugly.”
A little later it changed a bit.
“Is he the guy who’s bad? Mom he seems bad, so is he bad?” “Mom, that guy seems good, well better than the other two, does that mean he’s the good?”
“Mom, that guy has to be the ugly because the other two look way better.”
Then at the end of the movie she leapt up and danced around as they actually labeled who was who.
“I knew it, that guy was too ugly to be good or bad!”
Yeah, ugly people are on a neutral moral plane, neither good nor bad, they just are.
