My Son’s Kidneys

I never mentioned this because I was so focused on getting LB better from the virus that hospitalized him, but while we were there they did an ultrasound and they found some calcification of the kidney.  They didn’t get into it because at the time they were focused on getting him through the pain and dehydration.
I have an appointment next week to see a specialist, and let me tell you that I have a million questions for him about the causes for this, the treatments and the prognosis (worst case, best case scenarios).

I admit that I’ve been foolish and did what I always tell everyone else not to do and I went on the internet and started to look up calcification of the kidneys and let me tell you some of what I’ve read has left me in a cold sweat, my heart pounding in my throat.  My hand was pushed so hard against my mouth that I’m sure there is bruising.
