The Vomit Cometh

On Friday night Ceilidh went to bed early, like around eight o’clock or so, which was pretty early but for my daughter I didn’t really bat an eye, since she’s done that very same thing on many occasions.
But about a half an hour after I went to bed I was awaken by my Mom shaking my foot and telling me that Ceilidh was in the bathroom and that she had “it coming out of both ends”.
My Mom wasn’t kidding, and the two of us ended up staying up for most of the night with Ceilidh, caring for her as she alternated between puking and squirting in the toilet and then jumping into the shower to clean up.  It was a huge mess.
But lucky for us by the time Saturday afternoon came around Ceilidh was starting to feel better.
Fast forward to Sunday, Devlin got up, he played and ate his breakfast of oatmeal without any fuss.  Then in the afternoon he wanted to go to bed and he had no interest in leaving it.  Not even to eat.  That should have been a tip off.
Around the time of late afternoon Sean admitted that his tummy wasn’t feeling good and then suddenly he was gone.  He parked himself in the bathroom to deal with the stuff that was “coming out of both ends”.
It wasn’t until after dinner that he got really bad, and that was too bad because it was right after dinner that Devlin decided that he should rest in my arms for a few minutes before he lifted his head and puked all over himself, me and the floor.  It was horrible, both he and I were covered from head to toe in his dinner.  Just thinking about it now makes my tummy curdle, and makes me feel like maybe I need to vomit too.
Keep your fingers crossed that I manage to make it through the night without anyone else coming down with this.

    >Bless your collective heart!!! What a disaster. And your poor mom — I'll bet she thought this type of thing was all in her past. It will take a couple of days before you can figure out whether this was a virus or something you ate.Hope everyone's better soon and that at least one person manages to avoid this.
