So, they are saying that homeowners should shoulder more of the cost of Ontario Hydro, what about pay for usage?
Why should I, as a homeowner who turns my lights off and attempts to cut power as much as possible have to shoulder the cost of hydro, when most of the businesses that I see have these huge light up signs out front that they have running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?
Businesses use more elecrticity, be it a restaurant, convenience store, factory or office.
I understand that businesses are suffering from the ever rising hydro rates, but so are homeowners and to expect them to ‘shoulder more responsibility’ when so many people are struggling to pay the bills and keep food on the table and a roof over their head is unacceptable.
It’s very frustrating to read about rising costs of hydro and hearing about measures that should be put into place about greater transparency, the smart meters seem to have pretty much been a bust and a waste of tax payers money,
But the most frustrating thing is hearing about severance packages that are so overly inflated, especially if the severance is being given for someone who screwed up and should be fired, and the salaries for the heads of hydro one are also overly inflated.
It’s very insulting to have hydro keep pointing at the user and telling them to pay more and more and even more, like squeezing blood from a stone and then patting themselves on the back and giving themselves bonuses and raises, which these monies come from tax payers who continually feel that they are being given the shaft.
Bend over and take it hydro users. What other option do you have??
